Day 1: January 30th, 2010
Anne Heaton

Anne Heaton is known for the infectious energy of her live performances -- “a natural performer [with] a rich, soaring voice” (The Seattle Times), In 2005, she won Soul City Cafe, a national competition of live performances and online voting to choose Jewel’s opener for her West Coast Tour. In addition to Jewel’s tour, Anne also toured as an opening act for Melissa Ferrick and HEM as well as opened for/performed with Jill Sobule, The Pernice Brothers, Jennifer Kimball, Jonatha Brooke, and Edie Carey. She also holds occasional “Performance Bootcamp” workshops to help aspiring performers and songwriters hone their craft, which is where I met her and corralled her into this silliness. Anne released her latest collection of music, "Blazing Red," last March 2009. www.annneheaton.com

Day 1: January 30th, 2010

Hey all.  Here's my first song for the next 32 days or so.   Anne Heaton came up with the title "Don't Let Anything Happen to that Man"   Here's what I came up with for it.   Anne finished her song yesterday but didn't quite have time to record it yet.  (She's on her way out to Oregon by Amtrak to start a tour).  It will get posted soon-ish :)

Timmy Riordan
Timmy has been called ‘the hidden gem” of the Somerville/Cambridge music scene. In February 2009 he wrote and posted 28 songs on his website. This year he’s doing it again.  He has also decided there should be 8 day in a week (in honor of the Beatles of course) and has invited 32 of his songwriting friends to support him through the month by each writing a song themselves. Over the last summer he recorded 8 of those songs on a CD entitled “Peter Let Me In.” Each CD includes an original cover, hand-drawn just for you in Sharpie by Timmy. Proceeds from this hand-crafted album are all going directed to the making of “New York’s Ignoring Me” his next studio album to be released in summer of 2010.
